Last week, I lost my blog. Since 2005 I’ve been writing a blog called Catch & Release, but when I went to my web site a few days ago I’d found that the hosting company I used had completely trashed (and rendered inoperable) the application I used to maintain the blog. Instead of cursing, I took it as a sign. It’s time to move on.
My plan for this blog was just to record my thoughts on the beautiful game, but given the loss of Catch & Release I propose (with your indulgence) to inflict on you additional missives about the reading, writing, and brewing life that I posted on my (now deceased) lit blog.
I’ll still write about soccer. But I’ll also write about the books I’m reading (a lot of which are about futbol). And given that there is a deep connection between soccer and beer (cf. The Free Beer Movement) I hope you don’t mind if I occasionally write about my favorite beverage and the pubs where I watch soccer matches.
